Schroders moves into new home

Schroders Bermuda has moved out of its namesake building. The company, which has been in Bermuda for some 50 years and once employed more than 50 staff, has relocated to the second floor of Wellesley House on Pitts Bay Road.“These new premises are a better fit with our requirements going forward,” a Schroders spokeswoman said yesterday. She said the move was completed at the end of last month.Schroders sold its Bermuda-based private-equity operations to JP Morgan in April 2010. The deal saw many of the 50 staff move to JP Morgan, while continuing to work at Schroders House on Front Street.Schroders bosses said at the time the asset management business will continue to be in Bermuda and seek to do more business with the Island’s insurance companies.
