Magistrates' Court yesterday after pleading guilty to a charge of impaired driving.

Grant Forbes, of Onion Patch Lane in Somerset, was stopped by Police on January 10 while driving his motorcycle along East Broadway.

Prosecuting, Police Sgt. Peter Giles said Forbes exhibited symptoms of drinking.

An alco-analyser test later revealed .96 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is .80 milligrams of alcohol.

Forbes' lawyer Mr. Kim White argued for mitigation of sentence given the relatively low blood/alcohol level.

Acting Magistrate the Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons fined Forbes $200 and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
