Bank of Butterfield shares continued to soar yesterday, with prices up 6.4 percent or $1.75 to a new all-time high of $29.00.
The news also boosted trading in Bank of Bermuda stocks, which rose 90 cents or 1.8 percent to close at $50.00 -- just $1.00 shy of its all-time-high.
Two other local stocks also went into new 52 week highs, Long Botham Boats, the owner of Henry VIII, gained 50 cents to close at $45.0 and BF&M gained $1 to finish at $9.00.
The index closed up 2.72 percent at 2,504.35 on a volume of 124,427 shares worth $5,877,176.80.
