Saltus students get top awards

Saltus offers Advanced Placement examinations for students in the Saltus Graduate Year, which if a grade of 3 or more is attained, credit or advance placement is granted by most North American colleges and universities.
Only 13 percent of the more than 700,000 students who took AP examinations in May of this year were able to merit Scholar awards.
Saltus begins to prepare its students in their Senior Fourth year to take the examination in their Fifth year.
Andrew Cossar, now a student at Duke University qualified for the prestigious Advanced Placement Scholar with Honour Award in earning an average grade of 3.25 on all exams taken.
University of Tampa, Florida's Jennifer Cabral and McGill University's Aisha James both qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more examinations with a grade of 3 or higher.
Eleven Saltus students taking the British General and International Certificates of Secondary Education achieved outstanding marks including distinctions.
Ian Ostroff-Striffler won a prize from the school for having the best GCSE results for the year by getting six A grades with distinction and three A's during his fifth year.
Now completing his high school education in California, Ian ranks in the top four percent of all students around the world taking the tests.
Ten other students each gained nine GCSEs: Eli Lipschultz and Jason Cabral, eight A's, four with distinction; Ryan Marshall, three A's with distinction and six A's; Megan Leitch, four A's with distinction and two A's.
