with breaking into a Pembroke woman's home on February 17 with intent to commit rape.

He faces two other charges stemming from the alleged incident: assault with intent to commit rape, and unlawful and indecent assault.

The man, who is a butcher by trade, did not enter a plea and will be tried in the Supreme Court.

He was released on $2,000 bail with one surety on condition he has no contact or communication with the complainant, reports to Police every Monday and observes a 10 p.m. to 6.30 a.m. curfew.
