Families to the fore in tourney

Competition will be keen when the Division One semi-finals of the AF Smith Corporate Team Squash Tournament take place this evening.

The Reeses take on the The Wahpush and while the team names might not be familiar, those of the players certainly are.

"The Reeses team is made up of the Brewer brothers, Richard, Jan and Murray and they will be playing against the Stout family of James, John and Chris," said Ross Triffitt, Bermuda's director of squash.

Both semi-finals have family connections, the other pitting the M and S Nickers team of father and son Andrew and Bruce Robinson and Colin Alexander and Nick Wiffen against the Carib Champs of Tommy Sherratt, Roger Sherratt, Harry McKenzie and Robert Maycock.

The first semi-final, M and S Nickers against Carib Champs takes place at 6 p.m. at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association on Middle Road and that is followed by the Reeses and The Wahpush at 7.30 p.m.
