Digicel’s Court Street store was temporarily closed yesterday due to an electrical fire behind the building.Digicel advised all staff were safely evacuated.Customers were asked to visit the Church Street store instead, where Digicel said it had extra staff available to assist.A Digicel spokesman said the fire source was on some equipment located behind the building that Digicel and other tenants share.Belco said in a statement: “An outage affecting 11 customers on Court Street occurred at approximately 12.15pm, related to a fire in the area.”Power was restored to all customers including Digicel later in the afternoon, Belco said, adding: “Belco cannot comment on the fire, which is under investigation by the Fire Service.”
