Bridge Tournament which opened at the Sonesta Beach Hotel on Saturday.

Phil Shadick, Linda Pollett, Freya Robinson and Stephen Ball came out first among 47 teams in the general flight of the Swiss Teams competition on Sunday.

Bermuda pair Audrey Smith and Barbara Huntington finished top of the B flight and fourth overall in the opening Charity Pairs, which was won by Ilse and Ed Rothman of Dartmouth, Massachussetts.

In the championship flight, world champions Eric Rodwell and Jeff Meckstroth from Florida, partnered by Laura Tolkow, Uday Ivatury and James Gleik of New York, were the winners.

Bermuda pair Roman Smolski and Vera Petty were part of a team which finished third.

Other Bermudian winners were Wendy and Richard Gray, who won both the B and C flight in the pairs competition.

No Bermudians featured in championship flight results from Tuesday, Bermudian pair Harry Kast and Charles Gambrill were first in the C level and second in the B level.

Other local pairs in the top 10 were Barbara Huntingdon and Judy Bussell, Eddie and Stephanie Kyme, and John Hoskins and David Schroeder.
