All but one match in the Fishbowl League resulted in a whitewash during latest action.

League leaders Wahoo and second-placed Marlins both lost by four points while Porgies took full advantage of Marlins' loss by winning 4-0 to swim into second place. The win leaves them a scant one-half point behind Wahoo.

Tuna, with their win over Marlins, took over third place and pushed Marlins into fourth.

Mackerel were led by William Steede's third high series of 536 and second game of 209 in handing Wahoo defeat despite Doug Hines' top series and game of 563 and 214.

For Tuna, Maria Frith managed the women's high series of 526 while Marlins' Patty Miller claimed the women's second high honours with a 506 series and 199 game.

Ron Birdsey led Porgies' drive to the top with a 529 series and third high game of 195 while `better-half' Corinne tied for the women's top game with her 199.

Barracuda took full advantage of a short-handed Angel Fish team and went home with all four points, a result that enabled them to climb the ladder to eighth place.

John Maycock led Barracuda with the second high series of 538 and got assistance from Prudence Spriggs who bowled the women's third series and game of 497 and 197. Mark Bell tried to offset the challenge and led Angel Fish with a 507 series.

Piranha had a feeding frenzy with Hinds to take all four points as Bob Hibberd was their top bowler with a 646 handicap series and 236 handicap game. George McLarnon led the Cow Pollies in a 3-1 win over Snappers with a his 631 handicap series.

Completing the night's competition, Dolphins won all four points from Sharks.

Bowlers are reminded that competition resumes on April 8 with the position round to determine the league champions. The following two nights of competition will be for the roll-off champions.

Pembroke Juniors rolled the top team series and game of 2,882 and 991 on their way to a 22-5 win over Warwick Whites in Barritt's Sportsmen's League action.

Dean Lightbourne led Pembroke Juniors with his second high game of 233 while Antoine Jones supported with a 228 third high game and Roger Raynor a 603 series, which was fourth on the list. Warwick Whites had a good team effort, claiming third on the team series list with their 2,626 and fourth with a game of 929.

Mini Forwarders beat Sparks 16-11 after their second high series of 2,687 and game of 975. Steven Wales led the winners with his top game of 236 and second high series of 617.

In the closest match, Young Blood edged by Social Club 141 -121 after their 936 team game. Lloyd Evans led their cause with a 612 third high series while Social Club tied with Sparks with a 2,609 team series.

Warwick Reds beat Buy and Sell 15-12 in the remaining match, thanks to Kevin Minors' 618 top series and 226 game.
