A woman was banned from the roads for 18 months yesterday (THURS) after she admitted driving while double the legal alcohol limit.
Kristine Marshall, 45, was also fined $1,000 after she pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court.
The incident took place on November 20 last year on Lane Hill, Pembroke.
Although the summary of evidence was not read aloud in court, the court heard that Marshall had 160.8 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80mg/100ml.
Marshall, from Pembroke, first appeared in Magistrates’ Court for the offence on January 6.
She initially pleaded not guilty, but changed her plea yesterday.
Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe ordered her to pay the fine by March 15.
