Bruce Degrilla is an allround talented guy

Bruce Degrilla

If you follow the sport of street racing put on by Bermuda Motocross Racing Club (BMRC) in St. David's, when you hear the name Bruce Degrilla, the word 'winner' comes to mind.

Bruce is an M2 student who rides in the 125cc class at the Southside track. He has been the 70cc defending champion for two years in a row - 2006 and 2007.

Bruce has been riding since he was eight years old. From then, he has graduated from an 82cc bike to a 125cc bike.

In Skinny's Memorial, Bruce placed well in the 125cc. Bruce enjoys things other than riding bikes.

He likes Karate. He plays midfield and defender for PHC under 13s and he is a presence on Tatem's track team. His specialties are 100-metre and 200-metre sprints.

I know Bruce handles his fame very well. He is a down-to-earth guy. Bruce says: "It's time consuming, but it keeps me fit. It's not a big deal. It's all I know."

Bruce is a great guy!
