Trumper called to Bar
Corporate attorney Steven J B Trumper was recently called to the Bermuda Bar.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Mr Trumper is Senior Counsel and Head of Marshall Diel & Myers' Corporate Department.
Mr. Trumper is a senior business lawyer with extensive experience in corporate commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, insurance and reinsurance, real estate, and international transactions. He provides corporate and business law advice to a wide variety of Bermuda-based and international businesses and is cited in Legal500.com as a "well-respected expert in Bermuda", His responsibilities also include providing leadership and mentoring to the attorneys and staff who work with him in the Corporate Department, as well as new business development and practice management.
Mr Trumper has practiced law for nearly 30 years. Prior to coming to Marshall Diel & Myers he was a Senior Partner in the Business Law Department at leading Toronto law firm, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He also spent three years as the Managing Partner of its Hong Kong office, where he advised Canadian clients on international law.
Mr Trumper attended the University of Western Ontario and Queen's University Law School. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982 and the Bar in Hong Kong in 1996 (now non-practicing). Mr. Trumper and his wife, Sandra Curtis, have two grown daughters: Brittany and Kymberley.
He is the former Chair of the Dean's Advisory Council of Queen's University, and currently serves on the Board of the Live Healthy Bermuda Foundation.
