Brenton Richardson, 21, ran a red light and unknowingly passed an unmarked Police car that was waiting at the stop light.

The Police followed Richardson to Par-la-Ville Road, where Richardson swung into the Just Shirts parking lot on the night of July 29.

Police blocked Richardson's car in the parking lot and he leaned on the horn.

Richardson was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station where a breath analyser test revealed he had 154 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner fined Richardson $1,000 and disqualified him from driving all vehicles for 12 months in Magistrates' Court on Friday.

TOYOTA TRUCK STOLEN CRM Toyota truck stolen Police have received a report that a white Toyota "Lite Ace'' truck was removed from Church Street near Joell's Alley on August 17.

The unsecured truck was allegedly removed between 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Anyone with information on its whereabouts is asked to contact Police at 295-0011.

BACKPACK STOLEN CRM Backpack stolen A multi-coloured backpack containing a wallet and other personal items was allegedly stolen from Warwick Long Bay on Saturday sometime between 7 p.m. and 7.45 p.m.

Police are investigating.

BURGLAR TAKES LIQUOR CRM Burglar takes liquor An unknown culprit allegedly broke into a Stokes Point Road, St. George's house sometime during Saturday.

Police are investigating the break-in after a wallet containing cash was removed, as well as two bottles of liquor.

HOUSE BURGLED CRM House burgled A significant amount of cash was allegedly stolen from a Warwick Close house sometime on Friday.

The complainant said he left the house on Friday morning, but found cash was missing from an inside drawer when he returned at 10 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry.

CAMERAS STOLEN CRM Cameras stolen Two cameras, a pair of sneakers and a red windbreaker were allegedly removed from a Reid Street office sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

There were no signs of forced entry.

FINES COST MAN $400 CTS Fines cost man $400 A first-time drug user was fined $400 for possession of cannabis in Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Michael Wilkinson of Water Street, St. George's plead guilty to possession of 3.45 grams of cannabis and told Senior Magistrate Archie Warner that it was the first time he had tried it out.

"I only did it because of stress,'' he said and explained his home life was tiring.

"Then you should find some other way, because this is expensive,'' Mr. Warner replied before fining him $400.

Wilkinson, 45, was arrested after Police were told of the purchase by an informant who saw Wilkinson make a "suspicious'' transaction on King's Square on May 2.

Wilkinson was stopped by Police and searched on Customs Street. He was arrested after Police found cannabis in his pockets, which was later revealed to weigh 3.45 grams.

ATTACK OUTSIDE CLUB CRM Attack outside club A man who escaped an attack inside the Spinning Wheel nightclub found himself being assaulted again outside the club.

The 39-year-old Devonshire man told Police he was approached by a man he knew shortly after 2 a.m. last Sunday.

The two spoke briefly before the suspect threw a drink in the victim's face then started punching and kicking him.

The man escaped the barrage only to be assaulted again outside the club by a different man whom he did not know.
