St Regis hotel to open doors on May 22
The St Regis hotel and its Five Forts Golf Course will open its doors to guests on May 22, it was revealed yesterday.
The news came as the St George’s hotel today posted advertisements for more than 31 roles in today’s edition of The Royal Gazette.
Jan Vanhealewyn, the general manager of the hotel, said he was delighted to announce the opening day for the “extraordinary” resort.
He added: “Together with a team of talented hosts, we look forward to creating an atmosphere of great subtlety and refinement within this unique resort.
“The notable amenities of the St Regis Bermuda Resort will unveil a new level of luxury in St George’s.
“I extend a heartfelt invitation to enjoy an experience like no other.”
The hotel will include 120 guest rooms and suites alongside a luxury residential development with a range of two and three bedroom condominiums with ocean views looking over Gates Bay.
A spokeswoman for the resort said: “Guests and residents will be invited to immerse in unparalleled leisure experiences.
“Overlooking azure waters, the pool deck area features two swimming pools, inviting loungers and private cabanas for an exclusive retreat enhanced by exceptional service.
“The sophisticated food and beverage offerings available at the resort will include a flavourful all-day restaurant, pool bar and grill, a fine-dining steakhouse restaurant, a drawing room and an iconic St Regis Bar serving the local interpretation of the brand’s Bloody Mary.”
The 18-hole Five Forts Golf Course will open alongside the hotel, as will the hotel’s Iridium Spa.
The resort will also feature 11,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space for weddings, corporate retreats and other events.
The hotel is on the hunt for staff in a variety of departments, including front of house, food and beverage, housekeeping, finance and sales, as well as for the golf course and spa.
