Meanwhile, two goals from fearsome marksman Des Minors failed to halt the charge of resurgent Island Rangers, who booted home three for a final score of 3-2, which kept them in fourth place after a disastrous start to the season.
Somerset Extros jumped one place to fifth, while Exiles dropped two to again fall in danger of relegation zone as the former emerged 2-1 victors in a tight tussle at Shelly Bay.
Larry Darrell and Donnie Simmons were on target for Extros, while Martin Ford tallied for Exiles.
In Group B, Devonshire Colts moved even on points with idle North Village Rams without touching a ball, as Prison Officers failed to show for their match at Frog Lane field.
Village had their match against Lobster Pot cancelled due to the funeral of team member Lawrence Hendrickson.
Games actually taking place witnessed Genesis ending a barren run through a 5-2 trouncing of downtrodden Valley, with Gary Trott (two), Ernest McCallan, Andrew Harvey and Shannon Burchall all finding the range for the victors.
McDonald Symonds and Owen Burgess scored in losing efforts.
St. George's All-Stars bounced Park United 3-1 as Kenny Pearman, Cal Raynor and Hubert Wade notched tallies for the winners.
Alliance Division action in Group A saw PHC hammer Hamilton Parish 7-2, Devonshire Colts outlast Somerset 3-1, while St. George's had their match against North Village postponed.
In Group B, Somerset Eagles and BAA drew 4-4, Boulevard downed Prospect 2-1 and Southampton beat St. David's 3-1.
