Police probe two new gun incidents
Police attended two firearms incidents in Pembroke yesterday lunchtime.
The first was at about 1.15 p.m. when shots were fired on Overview Hill.
It is understood the gunfire was heard close to a house on Mount Hill where previous firearms incidents have taken place.
A Police spokesman said: "There were no reported injuries. An active investigation into this matter is underway."
The second incident happened on Angle Street at 1.35 p.m., when two men on a motorcycle brandished what appeared to be a firearm before leaving the scene.
The spokesman said witnesses to both incidents were urged to call the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8115 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
A 17-year-old was shot at outside his family home on Mount Hill in July; the property is believed to be the same one involved yesterday though it is not known if the teenager or his family still live there.
The home has been the subject of repeated raids this year by Police officers looking for firearms and drugs.
In July, the 17-year-old's grandmother told The Royal Gazette he had previously been targeted in a shooting on June 16 on Friswells Hill.
