Man denies card store robbery

A 26-year-old denied robbing an elderly woman at Card Cove.

Rasool Ebbin, of Southampton, appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday, and pleaded not guilty to brandishing a knife in the Queen Street shop at 9.40 a.m. on February 28. He also denied taking $200 from 85-year-old Estelle Dickenson.

Ebbin was granted $5,000 bail and will appear before the courts on March 22.

Biker suffers face injuries

A Pembroke man suffered facial injuries after losing control of his motorcycle.

Officers attended the South Road, Southampton accident near the junction of Eastdale Lane at 11.55 p.m. on Sunday.

The 27-year-old Pembroke man, believed to be the rider at the time, was taken from the scene to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Driver, 17, is arrested

A 17-year-old Smith's man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and underage driving.

Police pulled him over at 3.10 a.m. on Monday while they were on patrol on South Road, Devonshire, near the junction with Brighton Hill Road.

Traffic arrests

Over the weekend seven people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and Police were called to two burglaries.

There were also ten reported damage only road accidents, six reported traffic accidents resulting in injury and seven vehicles stolen.
