Finance Minister pays tribute to Anthony Manders

Anthony Manders, who died earlier this year

Curtis Dickinson yesterday paid tribute to Anthony Manders, the former Financial Secretary, who died unexpectedly earlier this year at the age of 59.

“The void he has left has been keenly felt as we have worked through this budget process for the first time without him,” said the Finance Minister.

“We have lost a colleague and a friend who possessed unparalleled knowledge about the workings of the government and who will be missed by all who knew him.

“Everyone who has worked with FS Manders knows that he was dedicated, hard-working and selfless. Anthony was one of my most senior and trusted advisers.

“He played a key role in advising the Cabinet during the pandemic, helping us navigate the unprecedented economic crisis. I will miss him.

“We continue to keep his wife Teresa and his sons Jekon, Jaiden and Jamori in our thoughts as they come to terms with such a profound loss in their lives and for the country.”
