He Lives Resurrection Celebration returns
Soul Food Promotions will be hosting its annual Easter time celebration with the 'He Lives' Resurrection Celebration on Friday, April 5.“In 2011, Soul Food Promotions decided to have an event around Easter time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” explained organiser Lynwood Richardson, better known to most as DJ Brotha Richie. “The idea was to have a party where believers from different denominations and backgrounds can come together with a common cause: their faith in Christ.”More a party and celebration than a concert, the event will be held on the upper level of the Bermuda Industrial Union building, with music kicking off at 8pm and finishing up at 12am."Soul Food Promotions' goal is to create a fun atmosphere, full of the presence of God, where folk will leave there invigorated, energised and encouraged to make every day a celebration because they serve a risen Lord!” Mr Richardson explained. “The featured DJs will be Brother Ste of Kingdom Vybez, and Brotha Richie and Total Package of Trinity Sound, playing a variety of gospel music for attendees to praise, worship and dance to."There will also be a live performance from the 2011 Soul Food Mix artist of the year, Whopper Benz.”Tickets cost $10 in advance and are available from Mystique's Unique, located in the Bermudiana Arcade, or $15 at the door. There will also be food and soft drinks available for purchase, as well as giveaways.
