Major new Dockyard attraction Bermuda Fun Golf is open for business. The putting course celebrated its grand opening yesterday and will be open just on weekends, until the summer kicks in.The privately funded project cost $1 million-plus, and is the idea of partners John Burcher and Jill Kowalchuk, along with Swede Hakan Lindgren, who says it is one of the finest putting courses in the world.Mr Burcher said winter hours are Fridays from 3pm until 10pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 10pm. The cost is $14 for adults and $12 for children. He said the Caddyshack concession will be open, selling drinks including beer and wine only. The entrance to Bermuda Fun Golf is through the tunnel that leads to the Snorkel Park, with parking anywhere in the Dockyard designated parking areas. Not quite mini-golf but neither real golf, Mr Lindgren has developed several similar courses in Europe, including an indoor one at a shopping centre in Copenhagen, Denmark, and also one in Halmstad, Sweden’s so-called golf capital.
