Some parties use the tag line ‘dress to impress’ to encourage people to come out in their finest garb, but one popular event is persuading people to ‘dress to get wet’.The fourth annual Heineken Wet & Wild party, taking place tomorrow night, is aiming to be bigger and ‘wetter’ in honour of the iconic beer brand’s 140th Anniversary.DJs Rusty G, New Era, YGS, D’General, and Lifestyles Ent. are expected to deliver high energy performances all night — and to cool off party goers are encouraged to take a dip in the swimming pools or mega slide at Snorkel Park.There will be other surprises in store, including a special guest artist, and the first 1,000 guests will receive a free water gun.Qian Dickinson, of Burrows Lightbourn, said the annual beach bash wasn’t a typical party.He described it as “an experience that only happens once a year”.“Heineken Wet & Wild has grown to be bigger and better every year and typically sees a mixed crowd of young adults and college students,” Mr Dickinson said.“The feedback we’ve got over the years is that it is the best party of the year.“The buzz on social media sites starts from college students as early as January 1, who view this event as the party that officially kicks off their summer.“Another interesting fact is that it has rained during every Heineken Wet & Wild event which of course is no deterrent. This year unfortunately the weather forecast is dry.”There will be a special Heineken bar and a Heineken VIP lounge available.In addition anyone who drinks Heineken at the event will have a chance to win exclusive prizes.“There will also be plenty of water to drink and we encourage everyone that comes out to drink responsibly,” Mr Dickinson added.Tickets are $30 for general admission (or more at the door) and $75 for the Heineken VIP Lounge.They are available at Kit n Kaboodle, Sovereign Jewellers, Autobahn and Mambo.
