All post offices, except for Baileys Bay Post office, will be open today as their hours of operation expand for the holiday season.

Today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the General Post Office, the Perot Post Office, in Hamilton, and all parish post offices will be open for mailing of letters and parcels as well as the collection of parcels.

There will also be mail delivery today and next Saturday, December 20 throughout the Island.

The public are also being encouraged to collect their parcels as soon as the notification is received in the mail to reduce backlogs and delays.

A spokesperson added: "The Bermuda Post Office takes this opportunity to remind the public to restrain all animals during periods of mail delivery in order to avoid injury to our postal delivery persons and animals and to avoid any disruption to the mail delivery service.

"The Bermuda Post Office would like to thank the public for its support and patronage over the past year and extends it very best wishes for a joyous holiday season."
