Filling up vehicles at the gas station is going to be a few cents cheaper .The Minister of Finance announced that as of yesterday, gasoline will go down by 6.15 cents a gallon. At the gas pumps this translates to $5.11 a gallon as the maximum retail price displayed.

Gas prices fall

Filling up vehicles at the gas station is going to be a few cents cheaper .

The Minister of Finance announced that as of yesterday, gasoline will go down by 6.15 cents a gallon. At the gas pumps this translates to $5.11 a gallon as the maximum retail price displayed.

For vehicles running on diesel the cost is going down by 6.92 cents a gallon and will cost $4.10 a gallon at the pump.

Kerosene will go down by 8.08 cents a gallon and will cost $3.18 a gallon.

Police probe theft

Police are investigating a theft at the Warwick Lane restaurant in Warwick.

A woman at the eatery complained that someone had taken her black wallet containing $256 cash and other personal items between the morning and 3.45 p.m. on Sunday.

Anyone with information should call Police on 295-0011.

Four hurt in crashes

Police dealt with a total of 20 road accidents during the weekend.

There were 16 damage-only crashes, and four that resulted in injuries to drivers or passengers. Police also arrested two people on suspicion of driving while impaired, and investigated six incidents of breaking and entering.

One of the burglaries occurred in Sandys, three in Paget, one in St. George's and one in Pembroke.

All incidents are under investigation and Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 295-0011, or CrimeStoppers on 1-800-623-8477.

Car overturns

A woman flipped her car over while turning a corner on Middle Road on Monday night but sustained only a few cuts and bruises and a bumped head.

Michael Darling said his wife, Elaine, had taken the turn on to Longford Road, Warwick when the car flipped over.

She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and he said: "She received a few bumps and bruises on her head but she's OK."

Two face charges

Two Jamaican nationals - charged with importation of drugs appeared in the Supreme Court for mention on Monday.

Garsha Andre Daley, 28, of Scott's Hill Road, Sandys, and Kesha Mackeba James, 26, have been on remand since last October when they were caught at the Airport.

Justice Archibald Warner set the matter down for arraignments in October.
