Drugs trial jury selected

The jury was selected yesterday in the Supreme Court trial of a Canadian national accused of drug importation.
Anna Formanchuk, 23, of Toronto, Ontario, is alleged to have imported cocaine into the Island with the intent to supply on July 15 last year, and also to have been in possession of the same drug, with intent to supply.
Crown counsel Juan Wolffe was standing in for Crown counsel Charmaine Smith who was unwell.
Acting Justice Archibald Warner suggested the jury be selected to save them time and stress.
The trial was adjourned until Monday morning.
