100 schoolchildren gathered at Clearwater Beach in St. David's for the annual Gibbons Company Iron Kids triathlon.
As race director Charlie Duffy pointed out to competitors before the start, the accent wasn't on winning but having fun.
But judging from these photos by The Royal Gazette's David Skinner, a competitive spirit prevailed.
