BBFS in Eurocar link-up
Nacori Smith, of Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School, has enrolled on an apprenticeship programme at Eurocar Ltd on Woodlands Road as a reward for his impressive attitude.
The Somerset Trojans midfielder, who has been a member of the BBFS since its inception, has shown a willingness to further his chosen career in mechanics.
Smith, 17, also plans to study at an overseas university this year to gain more qualifications.
BBFS CEO Cal Blankendal said: “Nacori has been with BBFS since the start and has transitioned to a youth coach.
“He has graduated from high school and is looking to further his career interests in mechanics. The link up with Eurocar is part of our life skills philosophy.
“Eurocar have provided Nicori with a fantastic opportunity to further enhance his mechanical skills and interests.”
Smith said: “I’ve learned a lot in the last three months working at Eurocar Ltd. Without Cal and Richard Correira [of Eurocar] this wouldn’t have been possible.
“It’s been a good experience.”
The BBFS have signed a youth apprenticeship pilot programme with Eurocar Ltd for their members aged 14 and above.
