Leseur leaves tourism position
Government committee.
Paul Leseur has resigned from the Tourism Board and will be replaced by Altimont Roberts.
Mr. Leseur was unavailable for comment, but Tourism Minister David Dodwell and the Board's new chairman David Hamshere said there was nothing sinister about the resignation.
Mr. Dodwell said: "Paul has served on the board for about 25 years and part of the reason for the resignation is to devote more time to his other interests.
"There was nothing in his resignation letter that indicated that he disagreed with the Board's direction.'' Mr. Leseur, who helps to run the Lantana Hotel, has also served on the Board's airline and marketing committees.
"I will miss his contribution, there is no question about that,'' added Mr.
Dodwell.
Mr. Hamshere, who recently took over from Alan Richardson as chairman, said he was sad that Mr. Leseur had decided to resign saying: "I did work with Paul and he has a great deal of insight into what is happening.'' Paul Leseur
