Seven firefighters from the St. George's station and an investigating fire official from Hamilton rushed to the fire which broke out in the school's assembly hall around 12.30 p.m.

Lt. Thompson said they arrived to find four plastic-back chairs on fire.

The fire, which caused $200 worth of damage to the area and a bit of smoke damage, was extinguished within minutes.

"We're still trying to determine the cause,'' Lt. Thompson said.
