CABINET FEUD DENIED HOA Cabinet feud denied A possible feud between two Cabinet colleagues has been dismissed by Public Safety Minister Paula Cox.

In yesterday's Royal Gazette , Ms Cox said a new 911 emergency response system, in which Police and fire personnel trained in life saving techniques attend accident scenes, was "a win win situation'' for the Island.

Ms Cox's comments were in stark contrast to earlier remarks made by Telecommunications Minister Renee Webb, who, before last November's election, described the system as "unfeasible and unworkable''.

Yesterday Ms Cox said the new system does now have the backing of the full Cabinet -- but not indefinitely.

"The Cabinet has agreed with the implementation of the new 911 scheme but it will be reviewed in a year,'' Ms Cox said.

Milton James Eve, 49, has repeatedly trespassed on the course and last summer served three months imprisonment after disobeying a court order to avoid the area.

But he returned to the grounds in December and reportedly told an employee: "I just came to get my golf balls. I'm just concerned about my golf balls.'' At the time, Magistrate Edward King remanded the 49-year-old in custody for psychiatric evaluation.
