Week six of Youth Baseball League action provided plenty of offensive fireworks and stellar defensive play.
In Little League play, the Yankees (5-0) extended their unbeaten streak with a 15-3 shellacking of the Mariners.
However, the White Sox and Orioles continue to nip at the leader's heels. The Sox stand at 5-1 after easing past the Pirates 10-5, while the birds (4-1) powered to a 16-4 triumph over the Athletics (1-4).
Other matches saw the Cardinals (4-2) maintain their charge, hammering home 25 runs against the Reds (2-4), who mustered 12 themselves, and the Angels (3-3) downed the Indians (3-3) 12-8.
Still dominating the Rookie League are the Pirates, their latest victims being the Cubs whom they beat 13-5.
Meanwhile, Orioles remain a game-and-a-half back as they ran past the Mets 11-9, but the Reds lost ground with a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Phillies.
The streaking Royals battled back from a huge deficit to outlast the Tigers 10-9 and the Mariners blanked the Angels 13-0.
Furious and skillful play highlighted an exciting week of action in T-Ball where as usual everyone came out a winner.
