Ted Tidwell who is visiting the Island and met with Ministry of Environment officials yesterday said the company's product can be used to clean everything from polluted rivers to oil spots on shirts, all without damage to the environment.

The liquid product contains no hazardous ingredients and is vegetable based.

Mr. Tidwell arrived on the Island from Santiago, Chile where his product is being studied by a municipal water authority as a possible means of cleaning up a polluted river."It's a technological breakthrough,'' he said.

Mr. Tidwell has also set up meetings with Belco, and the Police.
