Tropical Storm Colin has now been downgraded to a tropical depression, but forecasters say it still remains a threat to Bermuda until it passes early this evening.

The Bermuda Weather Service said: "Strong, occasionally tropical storm force winds can be expected this afternoon and evening, easing overnight. Conditions will improve by Monday with rapidly easing winds and a few lingering showers."

It is expected that the closest point to Bermuda will now be at about 3pm today, Sunday August 8, when the storm comes within about 44 miles of the Island.
