September 10The Fourth Annual Bermuda National Day of Prayer will be held on at noon, 1p.m. at City Hall and 6 p.m., 7.30 p.m. at Victoria Park. The events are open to all who believe that prayer changes things. The noon event will be focused on the youth of the Island. The evening event will have special prayers for our youth, the education system, the Island's leaders, for unity and repentance, and a special prayer for those affected by recent events in Bermuda. MotherBaby International Film Festival (MIFF) will launch its international debut in Bermuda. This three-day world-class event features powerful and inspiring films that explore issues around pregnancy, parenting and birthing. La Leche League of Bermuda will hold a support group meeting open to pregnant women, new mothers and babies on Saturday morning, La Leche League meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the First Floor Conference Room at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The meeting topic is 'Facts and Myths about Breastfeeding'. LLL of Bermuda is a registered charity, offering mother-to-mother help and encouragement to women wanting to breastfeed their babies. An accredited La Leche League Leader will be present to answer questions and address concerns. The meeting discussions include the latest medical research as well as personal experience. Free literature and a lending library will be available. Light refreshments will be served. Call 236-1120 for further information. Youth & Community Against Violence.
