LOM's marketing manager anticipates a superb opening
Nancy Wainwright, dynamic manager of marketing/client services of Lines Overseas Management Limited, explained that the company was formed in 1992 as an international financial services company catering to high net worth individuals and corporations around the world.
They have experienced a lot of growth particularly over the past two years and consequently have made the transition to the new LOM building.
She reflected: "Many talented people have made this new building a symbol of strength and success.
"It started with a vision that both Scott and Brian Lines had for Bermuda's future in the financial services sector.'' The Hamilton property, rich in history, was purchased in 1997 and ground was broken for the new building in 1998.
Today they offer financial services with offices in Bermuda, Grand Cayman and Guernsey and the LOM Group of Companies today employs over 70 staff.
"Our commitment is to provide a superior standard of service and expertise to our customers. We utilise leading-edge technology to enhance our client services and this allows us to compete in the international marketplace,'' she explained.
Mrs. Wainwright discussed her marketing roles in the business: "LOM marketing department grew out of a need in the company to consolidate its image and profile, particularly in the lead up to our move.
"In addition to to developing the image of LOM locally, international marketing is phasing toward e-commerce in the future and we will be moving in this direction.'' Total offshore monies total 2.5 trillion and competition to manage these monies in offshore jurisdictions includes well-established firms, such as Coutts, with longstanding reputations.
International market growth is crucial for LOM and Mrs. Wainwright's job involves scrutiny in this area.
She aims to add depth and focus to the international marketing strategy of LOM.
Mrs. Wainwright will be producing a video about LOM that can be used for recruiting, presentations, seminars and conferences.
There will be an official opening of LOM's new premises hosted by the board of directors of the LOM Group of Companies on November 18 from five o'clock p.m.
to seven o'clock p.m. by invitation only.
The Premier, Jennifer Smith, will officiate the ribbon cutting ceremony. A reception will be held on the fourth floor Executive Terrace of the LOM Building on 27 Reid Street Hamilton.
Mrs. Wainwright attended Bishop's University of Quebec, Canada and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1985. She studied, "Styles in Art Course'' at Sotheby's in London.
Prior to joining LOM her experience encompassed investment banking and many years in Bermuda's retail business at Astwood Dickinson where she left the post of general manager in 1998.
She is married to Jonathan Wainwright with a seven year old daughter, Sammy, and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
