Premier Division leaders Southampton found winning without three top players difficult yesterday, suffering a crushing 30-run defeat against Police at Police Field

Dwayne Leverock and Ryan Belboda snatched seven wickets between them, but Rangers' batting appeared frail without Janeiro Tucker, Kwame Tucker and Dion Stovell – all away on vacation. Vincent Bradshaw topped Police's batting with 32, while Dennis Archer scored 24.

Leverock also speaheaded Rangers, hitting 41 with Malachi Jones chipping in with 32. But Rangers fell 30 runs short after 47 overs. Simpson was the top bowler for Police with three for 17 runs.


St. David's 239-4

The East Enders gained ground on leaders Southampton Rangers with victory at White Hill, thanks to a 94 from Lionel Cann. The win put them in first place with Rangers. The game was reduced to 34 overs with Chris Douglas also scored 59.

PHC were then dismissed in 26.1 overs. Spinner Del Hollis wrecked PHC by taking six wickets for 14 runs.

At Sea Breeze Oval Cleveland and Somerset played to a tie in a game reduced to 30 overs. Jason Simons hit 31 for the hosts, while Reid Jones and Shaun Wade took three wickets each for the West Enders. Social Club and Bailey's Bay at Devonshire Rec. was not played after no umpires showed up.

Ronald Gibbons scored 109 not out to lead Flatts to a win over Somerset Bridge in the First Division at Lord's yesterday. It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for Flatts who on Saturday were themselves soundly beaten by Devoshire Rec. by eight wickets.

Devonshire Rec. lost yesterday to St. George's at Wellington Oval, by eight wickets. Devonshire were dismissed for a paltry 45 in 26.3 overs. Oronde Bascome led the East Enders bowling with four wickets for six runs.
