Absent Zebras a boost for Cougars

be killed or kept alive tonight when they travel to Somerset to take on PHC in a Friendship tie.

The winners of tonight's match will advance to the semi-final to join Dandy Town and Vasco with the final spot to be decided by the match between Somerset and North Village which has twice been postponed because of rain.

After losing their opening match of the season to PHC, Cougars gained revenge with a 4-2 win over the Zebras in their first match of the second half and considering their form of late they should be slight favourites over a PHC side that will be without four starters -- defender Dano Outerbridge, midfielder Ottis Steede and forwards Shawn Simons and Raynel Lightbourne -- who are in Florida with the Under-23 team.

The loss of the four will put a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of veterans Sammy Swan, Sheridan Ming and Kenny Burt. The only Cougars player lost to that tour is captain Shawn Smith.

Both teams will be well rested after having their weekend matches called off because of wet conditions.

Tonight's 7.00 opener sees Prospect playing Wolves in the Shield competition.

Two Second Division grounds will be used for the semi-finals of the FA Cup, the BFA confirmed yesterday.

Vasco will play PHC in the first semi-final on February 12 at Southampton Oval while St. George's and Devonshire Cougars will meet at White Hill field in the March 5 semi-final. Both matches will be preceded by Crystal Palace semi-finals starting at 12.30.

No rescheduled dates for Sunday's four rained-out First Division and two Second Division matches have yet been set by the BFA.
