Jamie Ball lifted the men's B section title by beating Marc Thorne in the Victor Flood Badminton tournament at the BAA gymnasium last week.

He won 21-17, 21-13 while Adrian Turner overcame Vincent D'Costa to take the Men's C event, 21-17, 11-21, 22-20.

In the junior competition Aidan Thorne took the Under-14 boys singles title after a hard battle with Adam Smith, eventually winning 11-2 , 8-11, 11-4.

And Shuvra D'Costa won the Under-18 boys singles event, toppling Barnados Rozario.

In the men's A section doubles, Rick Dorush and Kenny Bremmar beat Louis Ooi and Huat Kin Tan 21-16, 21-19, 21-17. Dianne Blais and Marc Thorne took the honours in the B section by defeating Ahmed Holder and Jamie Ball 21-15,21-18.

Play continues today with ladies singles, mixed doubles and the finals of the men's A section singles between defending champion Rick Dorush and Rohan Pai.
