August 5, 2012Dear Sir,It’s bad enough the coverage is sponsored by IMC (a Caribbean network even though Bermuda’s not in the Caribbean) but worse still Bermuda, is barely if not actually featured in any event (although the women's’ GBR team took a thrashing, the game was barely shown on TV (men’s GBR-vs-Spain was shown plus other matches instead). Most Caribbean countries, the USA, Netherlands, Jamaica, Kenya, Italy, Canada and Asian countries were shown but not so much Bermuda. It never showed results or if they made it to the next round or what (you have to go on the internet just to find out ... how disappointing!). I never saw Flora Duffy’s event. Also the stupid commercials by both Glenn Blakeney claiming we have a National Stadium which hasn’t been completed since the 80s and that really dopey Lindo’s commercial where two non-athletes, are dancing in a pool (the people in the Olympics, at least try to represent the country even if they might not win a medal and this, is what they have to look up to?
