Burrows Lightbourn will continue support of ‘Let Us Drive’ service

Burrows Lightbourn has announced it is to continue to fund a programme designed to discourage drunk driving.The Let Us Drive Programme, a free late night taxi service operated by anti-drunk driving organisation CADA, offers revellers free rides home on Friday nights between 3.15am and 3.45am from outside the LOM Building, on Reid Street.Burrows Lightbourn has been a supporting sponsor of the programme for four years. CADA Executive director Gillian Freelove-Jones said: “Although we will never be able to quantify how many lives have been saved since this service started in May 2007, more than 6,000 people have been taken home in the last four and a half years.”
