Wild chicken killers suspended
brought to justice and placed on temporary suspension.
A woman, who wished to remain anonymous, wrote a letter to Parks Officer Craig Burt and sent a copy to The Royal Gazette complaining about the actions of two park rangers.
The woman said she was driving home to St. David's last Saturday when she saw an Agriculture & Fisheries van drive off the road into a flock of wild chickens.
She stated that the Park Rangers drove for "at least 100 yards until they were satisfied with their cruel intentions''.
Mr. Burt revealed yesterday that the ranger in question had been suspended "for a few days''.
And Mr. Burt said the ranger would have to improve his behaviour for a period of time, as well as write a letter apologising for his actions.
