Bermuda's Michael Sims is heading for his first appearance on the Buy.Com Tour following a sensational performance in a qualifying round in Greenville, South Carolina yesterday.

Sims, who only recently turned professional and missed the cut in last week's Buy.Com qualifier in Arkansas, bounced back yesterday with a superb round of 63 at Cliffs Valley CC at Traveller's Rest.

That score led all qualifiers and means Sims will be in the field this Thursday for the first round of the 72-hole Buy.Com BMW Cliffs Celebrity Pro-Am.

The Cliffs Valley course was designed by former TV commentator Ben Wright, a member of Mid Ocean Club who regularly visits Bermuda.
