Covid case confirmed at Saltus
Saltus has become the latest victim of Covid-19 after health chiefs tonight confirmed a potential exposure at the school.
In a letter e-mailed to parents, school head Deryn Lavell said that the school had been contacted by Government’s Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (ESU) warning of the exposure.
In her e-mail, Mrs Lavell said: “The person confirmed with Covid-19 has been isolated. The ESU is contacting confirmed close contacts. These persons are being advised that they must quarantine and get tested for COVID-19.
“A full assessment will be completed tomorrow and additional communication will be provided, outlining further public health guidelines that must be followed, such as quarantine and testing.
“As we receive further information from the department of health, we will keep you updated. If you have any concerns, please contact your family healthcare provider.
“I know these are trying times for everyone but please continue to follow the Government guidelines for safety and well-being.”
