The participating teachers were from the US, Canada, Panama, with a representative from the Bermuda Aquarium also attending.

The course was run by the Friends of the Bermuda Aquarium, which is a US non-profit organisation that promotes shared US-Bermuda programmes in education, research and conservation.

The course is intended to show teachers the opportunities available for teaching marine and island ecology in Bermuda.

The teachers will be able to return to their classrooms, develop a curriculum for their students, and bring their students to study in Bermuda.
