Canaries took full advantage of an undermanned Orioles squad and by half-time found themselves 2-0 up, Karla Preece and Ashley Dawson the scorers.
The second-half continued in much the same vein, but Orioles put up a good fight throughout and Canaries only managed to score once more through Joanna Stapff.
Bluebirds A 0 Swallows A 2 Despite fielding a team of `B' players, due to regular `A' players being unavailable, Bluebirds gave Swallows a fast, close game.
They battled hard and managed to hold Swallows at bay for a while, but the strength of the Swallows side showed in the end.
Sarah Fenwick, playing out of her regular position, put Swallows on the scoreboard first with a hard shot and Liz Osborne made it 2-0 in the second-half.
Good defending by Bluebirds and excellent goalkeeping by Carla Pedro made it a hard fought victory.
Bluebirds B 1 Swallows B 2 Despite having already played the previous game, Bluebirds came out fighting and made Swallows work hard for the victory.
Swallows had numerous opportunities to take the lead in the first half but Bluebirds' keeper, Carla Pedro, who was outstanding throughout the game, made sure that the half ended scoreless.
At the beginning of the second half, Bluebirds took control and went into the lead when Louisa Bussey crossed the ball into the circle to find Ellen Charnley who slipped it past the 'keeper.
Swallows came back aggressively and scored an equaliser, Sarah Davies scrambling the ball over the line after some defensive fumbling in the circle.
As the tension mounted the umpires had to try and calm things down.
Bluebirds lost some control and gave away a penalty stroke in the final minutes of the game. This was converted by Jenny Burrell to give Swallows a 2-1 win.
Men's League BCS Panthers 0 Police 0 The young Panthers ended their first season with a draw against Police.
Both teams played well but it was the second half which provided most of the action.
Panthers, playing their best hockey of the game, opened up the Police defence when Logan Alexander made a run and passed the ball off to Andrew Schlebeck for a shot on goal which he narrowly missed.
The Police side had their own chances but were unable to convert, the Panthers defence holding fast.
Late in the second half, Panthers found themselves with a great chance on goal, but Sonika Thomas was unable to slot the ball home and the score remained 0-0.
Police 2 Rebels 2 Rebels began the match two players short and Police capitalised on this with Carl Seale scoring to put them ahead.
This fired up Rebels and they replied with an equaliser just before the half-time whistle.
Rebels continued where they left off in the first half and quickly scored within the first few minutes of the re-start, but Police weren't going to go down without a fight.
They were rewarded for their persistence in the dying minutes when Steve Nurse scored a fine goal to pull them level.
Upstarts v Rebels Upstarts won by default due to Rebels being unable to field a team.
