Insurers Argus and BF&M climb on BSX
Insurers Argus Group Holdings Ltd and BF&M Ltd both gained more than 4 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
Shares of Argus added 19 cents, or 4.2 per cent, as 3,000 shares changed hands, to close on $4.75. The Argus share price has not reached a higher point in more than four years.
BF&M gained $1, or 4.3 per cent, as 2,408 shares changed hands. The insurer closed on $24, which appears to be a record high.
The RG/BSX Index gained 13.66 points, or 0.53 per cent on Thursday to close a trading week shortened for the Good Friday holiday at 2,613.17. For the week, the index gained 0.34 per cent.
The BSX Insurance Index climbed 4.5 points, or 0.27 per cent on Thursday.
Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares fell 25 cents, or 0.65 per cent on Thursday to close at $37.97 on the New York Stock Exchange. Butterfield last traded at $38.25 on the BSX.
