Yeates returns for Folk Club concert
concert this weekend.
Peter Yeates will be playing for the second time on the Island when he appears at the Old Colony Club in Hamilton on Saturday.
Mr. Yeates last played at the club in February, 1996. After hitting it off with the audience, he was asked to return, said Folk Club president Paul Maccoy.
"The pace of Peter's music varies from the serious anti-war stance of `Across the Playroom Floor' to the downright silly reggae version of `The Wild Rover','' he explained. "This promises to be a night for everyone.'' The evening will open to the sounds of the Folk Club's own Chris Broadhurst who may also be seen on Friday nights at the Porch on Front Street.
Tickets are available at Music Box or at the door with a charge of $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
