Bermuda gears up for KiteFest
The skies above Horseshoe Bay will be ablaze with colour next Friday when the annual Good Friday KiteFest gets underway.
Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate one of the Island’s oldest traditions that “brings people together in the spirit of community and national pride”.
Along with kite flying, there will also be live performances from some of Bermuda’s top entertainers and a competition to find the best fishcake.
Other activities include Bermudian games such as marbles, races and the KiteFest Easter Egg Hunt. Games and activities will reward winners with souvenirs and festive party favours.
The kite and fishcake making competitions will also award gifts across categories to ensure everyone walks away a winner, including prizes for visitor entries.
The Chewstick Foundation will be stewarding the event and raising funds to assist it with its community work.
The fun starts at 10am and entry is free.
