Rolling Stones to visit Island -- for wedding

LONDON -- The Rolling Stones are coming to Bermuda this summer -- but not to play! Most of the rock n roll band are expected to attend the wedding of Stones drummer Charlie Watts' daughter Seraphina, who lives on the Island in Tucker's Town. She is marrying Bermudian lawyer Nicholas Hoskins who works for the firm of Hector Wakefield Dwyer & Pettingill.

According to reports in the London tabloids, Mick Jagger and his estranged wife Jerry Hall, the Texan model, are getting along so well they have agreed to attend the July 17 wedding together with their children. The Sun said Hall, who split from Jagger after he was said to have had an affair and a child with a Brazilian model, was to attend the Bermuda wedding on her own. The Sun suggested Jagger was making an effort to get along with Hall because he is worried about how much of his 150 million fortune he will lose in the upcoming divorce settlement.

Mr. Hoskins yesterday confirmed the July 17 wedding, but declined to comment on where it will be or any other details.

His fiance Seraphina has lived in Bermuda for the past few years, most recently in a South Shore, Paget home rented by her famous father, a frequent visitor to Bermuda. They recently moved to Tucker's Town. London tabloids say other Stones' members Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood are also expected to attend the marriage.
