Fitch Ratings has assigned an 'A' insurer financial strength rating to the subsidiary of Bermuda-based insurance holding company Imagine Group Holdings Ltd. Imagine International Reinsurance Limited's rating outlook is positive.

Imagine International Reinsurance is a Dublin-based wholly owned subsidiary of the Barbados-based general insurer Imagine Insurance Company. The insurer was formed in late 2000 and is the principal subsidiary of Imagine Group Holdings Ltd., a Bermuda-based insurance holding company.

The Imagine Group's primary investor is the Canadian-based Brascan Corporation through its Brascan Financial Corporation subsidiary.
