Webinars to help improve your job and career prospects
Government’s Department of Workforce Development has partnered with industry stakeholders in the private sector to present a series of free career development webinars.
The first webinar, “Mastering Your Interview Etiquette Skills”, will be facilitated by Lorene Phillips, executive coach, corporate and etiquette trainer, and Philip Sykes, founder of The British School of Etiquette Bermuda. It will be held on Friday from noon until 1pm.
The DWD said the webinar will explore current interview techniques for personal career development, teach participants how to make a good impression, and use practical interview follow-up techniques.
In addition, two events will be presented in collaboration with Performance Solutions Ltd and facilitated by Amrita Bhalla, senior human resources consultant at the company.
The webinar “Tips for Success in a Remote Working Environment” will be held next Thursday, April 22, from noon until 1.30pm.
It will explore how to be productive and stay connected when working from home or other remote environments. Participants will learn tips for remote working that will make the experience less stressful and more productive, the DWD said.
The webinar “Managing your Career and Professional Development” will be held on Thursday, April 29, from noon until 1.30pm.
It will explore career change and building a value proposition to make you more attractive to future employers. Participants will discover enhanced networking strategies for seeking the “best fit” opportunities in their chosen industry and organisation, the DWD said.
